Fairly certain this was discussed when he finally had the surgery. Doctors basically said there wasn’t really any risk of further damage; that it was just a pain management thing.

it sounds like there may be future surgery in-store. Hopefully it’s just to clean up any loose-ends rather than any real repair.

Angry is what I feel for the organization 

1. Not getting a decent backup

2. Letting the franchise continue to play while hurt....what sense did it make to have him out there during the Steelers fiasco as just one example

3. Not doing whatever it took to get serviceable LT and or keeping extra blockers in against the better defenses

If Ron needs to be canned, its for performance on the field.  Not for this Medical gibberish.  If Cam played when he shouldn't, that is on the doctors.  But everything I have read suggest it wouldn't have made any difference if he hadn't played at the end of the 2016 season.

2016 was the worst season in Panthers history, for a myriad of reasons not solely based on the W-L record. Cam definitely should’ve been shutdown.
