I have a feeling we are going to replace Funchess, and maybe Smith.  But I doubt he wants to come here and be our 4th or 5th option after Moore, Samuel, CMC, and Thomas.

I think we'll definitely add another big receiver to replace Funchess, but I'm not sure we'll actively looking to replace Smith. I think Moore and Samuel have already basically done that. And when I say "big", I don't necessarily mean another jumbo receiver. We could very easily look for a classic "big receiver" in the 6'2"ish range.

We generally have 6 receivers.  This past season, it was

Moore

Samuel

Funchess

Wright

Smith

Byrd

Moore, Samuel, and Wright give us a solid top 3.  They will need to replace Funchess and Smith, maybe Byrd as well if they decide not to bring him back.  Unless they decide to keep only 5.  Their replacements won't be Beasley of course, but we will need to sign or draft someone.

This explains why McCaffrey was used so much. The Front Office pushes who they want to get the ball to.

Rivera and Hurney didnt want not using McCaffrey enough to be a reason the team could have lost. We used the fug out of McCaffrey and still lost, maybe Hurney and Rivera can now be like, see we used him and still lost, time to go in a different direction, NFL defenses aren't scared of little ole McCaffrey

Yes, it's the fault of one of our most productive players that we disappointed.

The Cowboys' offense was trash before they traded for Cooper. Meanwhile, Beasley just had his second best season of his career in both catches and yards so I'm honestly not sure what he's complaining about.

One thing that'll be interesting to see if they do go after another wideout...

Norv Turner prefers big receivers.

Marty Hurney prefers small ones.

Not sure what Ron Rivera prefers. If I had to guess, old receivers.

Not sure how you can say that Hurney prefers small receivers. He has drafted a mix of big and small receivers.
