Apparently we are looking into Andre Drummond.  Talk is Batum and Monk to Detroit.  Not sure how I feel about that as Drummond has 3 years (like Batum) on his deal for even more.  Plus losing Monk would suck.  Tough one as Drummond is young and productive but strictly a old school center.

Still Kevin Love talk out there but I doubt that happens.

Rumors that we like  Marc Gasol from Memphis. He would be a better fit than Drummond and wouldn't cost as much

I hear you as he only has two years on his deal but he is also 33.  Drummond 25.  But still...we basically cut that bad salary and get a productive C for 2 years so it does make sense.

Drummond was an All Star last year.

if we trade Monk for Drummond I will burn this fuger down to the ground. That would be the dumbest fuging trade in the history of the NBA. Drummond half asses his play and is a terrible center for the modern NBA

I don't care what Monk has looked like so far, you don't give up on that kind of talent in year 2. And you certainly don't give it up for an immensely overrated center who is vastly overpaid and a terrible fit in the current league.

Ew I can't express how bad this would be

I don’t like Drummond at all. Dude is a mental midget and capitalized on the fact that he gets to play with an elite #4 in Blake Griffin.

disagree.. he's been a double-double his entire career and one of the best rim protectors in the league AND played almost ever game - Every Year... Blake didn't get there til midseason last year..

If you can trade Batum for Drummond you do it, throw in somebody like Reggie Bullock.

This ×10000 isnt ideal for todays NBA.  But he is solid

Batum on the other hand is wasted space.

Get a taller shooter like Bullock and a Solid Center

Without giving up picks

Dumping Batums contract is a fugging Huge win

I’d want Bruce Brown as well if we are giving up Monk, I’d throw in Frank’s expiring to even things out.

PG: Walker, Parker, Graham

SG: Lamb, Brown, Bacon

SF: Bullock, Bridges

PF: Williams, MKG

C: Drummond, Zeller, Biz, Hernangomez

TW: Chealey, Macura

Hornets have shown interest in the Grizzlies Garrett Temple and JaMychal Green.

Not sure what the ask would be but I wouldn’t be inclined to give up more than MKG, Frank, and a 2nd. Both Green and Temple are free agents and neither would be back with the Hornets the following year due to finances so there’s no shot a first round pick would be involved.

    • Rod kinda confirmed that Staalsy is gonna retire. Called it a great ending to his story.    Glad for him to go out on top with the cup and conn if true.
    • Every union, union adjacent, or union tangent organization does this. They prey on dumb employees  who think the union is there for them instead of the mob or some other social-politically entangled arse. Always degrades the product and indeed the price of that product too. Then money flowing up to people with 0 to do with anything about the product. Its the most simple protection racket and oldest in the book yet people are still sub 70 enough to think it matters for anything other than making money for the racketeers.  I mean this is on their Wiki(yeah i know wiki) The NFL Players Association is the labor union representing National Football League players in matters concerning wages, hours and working conditions, and protects their rights as professional football players. So instead of the player doing that with his own agent which is why you have a fkn agent lol. So they are pilfering money from the player twice. Agent then NFLPA The standard annual membership dues are approximately $15,000. While players are not legally obligated to formally join the union, those who choose not to are generally still required to pay a mandatory service fee equivalent to union dues. Can't take anyone seriously when they talk up unions and since the mob is involved that's why you get those refs doing NFL ref poo. You can even hear former mob Michael Franzese just open admit this now that he's out of prison and making YT videos.(has been for years now)
