Gronkowski is a moron

Dude, this is so ridiculous. He answered that question to a Barstool employee he knew, and then made that reference to the person beside him, which was a woman. This question was baited. What's funny is the article is completely wrong about the topic of the question.

The Barstool employee(who was dressed up and pretending to be a 1st grade teacher) asked the 69 question as a joke. The video is on Barstool's instagram page. The entire thing was a setup for a joke.

I was wondering why I was just hearing about this now.

The Horror

PC People need to wear cowbells or something to let us know they are around

Suppose we have him hung in public, while he is hanging shoot him, then burn his body at the stake, collect his ashes in a coffee can, and give them to NASA or SpaceX and have them shipped into space?  Will that about handle the situation to their satisfaction?

Yeah, I doubt it, too.

I am about the least PC person you would ever meet, but let's be real. We're talking about a guy who's not exactly a genius level intellect.

At a time when the NFL is trying to better their image among women, this is a pretty stupid thing to say at a nationally covered press conference.

He's a professional football player, which does not require Mensa membership (nor is it expected).

The NFL has been busy trying to be all things to all people, and it has not worked very well.  It never does.

This is a far cry from the guy who beats every woman he comes into contact with or is actively earning the title of sexual predator.  If people can't understand the difference or want to get their shorts in a bunch over things like this, it is their problem.

I don't honestly care if it was someone he knew. This is still a "wrong place, wrong time" thing.

I'm sure we'll hear "that's just Gronk being Gronk" but the vast majority of players would get crucified over comments like that.

No other player would have been ask that question. Again, he was asked by someone he knows outside of football. It wasn’t a stranger asking him.

    • It was tongue in cheek.  I swear if you didn’t know you would think this place is infested with miserable Eagles fans
    • Okay. I mean we are just discussing.  I never saw Tua as being really a valid guy in tne league. But I am prejudiced against Alabama QBs because of their basic mediocre track records stepping up to the NFL so zi was probably predisposed and biased. But still correct. FWIW Bryce was such a physical outliee Bama didn’t really enter my thinking. It never became a factor for me.  Anyhow Murray was kind of a toy, by my standards and not a guy I would have been excited by. Then it got to the contract clause of mandating film study and the game was lost right there. Why would you pay a guy you thought needed the stick instead of the carrot?  I am just a tools first guy, for gaining admittance to move into the more thorough evaluation phase. It won’t change.  I just have always been you have to meet the threshold physically before we consider your other areas of potential as a pro.  Which I believe Jones passed that threshold. And has shown some flashes.  Sure is doing it this year.  The contention about what how pressure of a big contract might affect his performance, how the roster might lose a player or two two due to his salary precluding paying them, that is something else. If he continues to compete at this level like he is so far, I would put money on someone paying him though. And we will see what happens.
    • Well let's be honest here. The Jets was probably the absolute worst place for Fields to go and try and resurrect his career. Sure they have solid offensive players but that place is known for being QB Purgatory. Same with us and the Raiders.
