We land Sweat at 16 in this mock.  With a prospect blowing out the combine we are sure to land a great prospect at 16.

I personally have Sweat as my pick at 16 if he falls that far.  I also think Bradbury Center from NC State has to be in consideration there as well.

I believe we will have our pick at a top tier Offensive line, pass rusher, or LB at 16.

No, this can't be true or it discounts all the hysteria about not drafting until 16 and how we should have tanked...

Is anyone volunteering to move down 7 spots for nothing in return? We did tank. We lost seven games in a row. We just failed to finish the job.

The point is that a high draft pick is a consolation prize for teams that finish poorly not the desired outcomeor something to tank games to accomplish. We did lose 7 games primarily due to Newton's injury. Hardly anyone's fault.

If only we can take Sweat/Ferrell at #16 and find a way to trade up to grab Jonah Williams.

If the draft was falling this way,.. we should drop back and get another 3rd or 4th, maybe more. We have a lot of holes

Hell no. If someone is there that you feel is worthy of the pick, make the pick. For all you know, you could move back a few spots to pick up more draft capital only to watch Sweat and Ferrell go 16 and 17. I only think teams should trade back if they don't have anyone left they value at that spot or if some team calls them up offering something stupid. Unfortunately, we currently employ the GM most likely to do such a thing.

I'm guessing the clemson guys really fell off? That's why mocks are pointless until the combine. I don't think Sweat falls to us, but for some reason i'm certain Hurney sees LB and takes Devin White. Would rather have Bradbury

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
