Chiefs listening to trade offers for Dee Ford?

So you telling me a 27 year old pass rusher is available via trade. Reports are the Chiefs are looking for a 2nd round draft pick for him. How is he not being talked about as a target for Carolina. We are one of the weakest teams in the NFL when it comes to edge rushers. This guy is a stud and is potentially available for a 2nd round pick. We can fill our biggest need and still have our 1st round pick to get another stud on defense.

Dee Ford should be our #1 target right now.

Agree or Disagree?

Tag is expensive or we’d have to sign him long term to big money deal and I’m not sold on him being either elite or a good fit for us (even with talk of 3-4 looks). Rather use our picks on this deep DL class.

Yeh, he should be the main topic of conversation in Panthers meetings. My question is why would the Chiefs be willing to dump him for only a 2nd rounder?

He is due for a big contract after this season he is a FA.

Can't afford his salary, that's why I think we will definitely be going first rd de. I read a thing about trading for Bennett but don't really think we would do that either. We only have about 18 mil to work with

Im starting to think you are allergic to good players. Bro if you want good players they are going to cost money. And stop saying we can't afford players. We can afford them, it's called making cuts and managing the cap to fit players in. Saints do it every year, why can't we?

Salary cap is a god damn lie. It can be manipulated.

We could cut Kalil, poe, Shaq etc it a combination of moves to make room. There’s ways to work the cap. Kinda evens out too if it lessens pass rusher as such a necessity rd 1 we could get a rookie tackle  on rookie wage along with moron and let Daryl Williams walk...he’s already said he wants to get paid big time so we’re going to spend money and cap room regardless

Nope I just know how Panthers work lol. Can you remember a time we have went after anybody that costs much? I think everyone remembers Gilbert, but guess what that's it.

Yeah so I'm guessing u are talking about everyone else's cap. I agree with u but we never go after anyone. U look at last year's FAs and we might be glad we don't do it.

    • On the surface all variables to be considered aside obviously I would love to have him. Situationally though this compares to when we acquired Stephon Gilmore. Ramsey will be 31 this fall and Gilmore was 31 when we acquired him. Ultimately it was a moot point because we weren't ready to compete for anything of note and Gilmore went elsewhere. Ultimately I see this playing out the same. As such I cannot envision any scenario where he does not go to a legit playoff contender.
    • Below average? Seriously?? That is wild AF My man we ain't watching the same game... And I'm hard-pressed to believe you're watching the same film coaches are either if that is the take you honestly believe... I've been to almost every home game at BOA over the past 20 years... I've seen a lot of bad QB play over the past 7 years. Anybody that wasn't truly impressed by what Bryce did what the cast-offs he had to work with at the end of last year is delusional. His top 3 weapons were a 34 undrafted guy, a 7th round journeyman, and an UDFA rookie... seriously, what are we doing here??!! Some of these takes are beyond outlandish... You admitted yourself you're comparing Bryce to a guy you didn't even watch but are cherry picking stats for... So go back to your eyeballs and make it simple... how much NFL football have you watched my man?? Bc to me and my eyeball test, Bryce blew it out of the effing water down the stretch. What QBs are you watching playing so much better than him that you feel confident in saying "below average?" If you watched that and came away with anything else, we ain't watching the same thing... But beyond the eyeball test, every advanced metric in the book backs it up also... so again, what are you seeing that no one else is?? You think just anybody is going out there and dueling with Mahomes & Hurts with an almost comical inferior supporting cast and doing that? Whatever, to each their own, but it is wild to pull for a team where so many people feel compelled to crap on your QB after he just pulled maybe the greatest in-season turn around in league history and was playing by any eyeball test (for anyone that has watched an appreciable amount of NFL football) or even the advanced metrics for that matter.
    • You don't talk about TMac's QB that way!
