Similar to cap but Bryce love would be an added speed dimension when added to cmc Samuel and our other wideouts The defenses wouldn’t be able to handle all that speed

I like the idea, just not the player.  Love has been consistently injured but I do agree with the type of back we should be looking for, do like Justice Hill although this class just isn’t very strong.  Henderson is interesting as well.

Heard Love will probably go on PUP and be ready the second half of season.  Would be a dream pick that we would not have to change the offense when CMC is off the field and could also use both together with one in the slot.  The new duo of ....Salt and Pepper.

Yes I watched many Stanford games when cmc and Live we’re together and I can tell you that if u added his speed to cmc Moore and Samuel then you would drive defenses crazy. Love set youth world records for the sprints. He ran a 10.7 100 meters at the age of 14.

Idk how I feel about the backup RB stuff...  I know we need a viable one, but I also feel like CMC has proven to be the most versatile RB in all of pro football, so the more he's out there, the greater impact he makes.  Conversely, the more he's out there without breaks, the quicker he will wear down over time.

Then again, Marshall Faulk did a lot of similar things, was the featured back during his whole career, and didn't seem to be adversely affected.

Montgomery is a fuging stud. Would love this pick...…… with our second 3rd or our 4th. He's projected higher but RBs tend to slide.

Montgomery ran 4.63 at the combine which is slow for a top back.

Not that concerned with the underwear Olympics. The man's film speaks for itself.

Well nfl linebackers are much faster than the Iowa st opponents. With his lack of speed he shouldn’t go higher than the fourth round

You sound like an NFL draft expert so I won't argue.

You know he’s tops on Hurneys board. I’d bet money we are picking a RB between the 1-3.

Like we grabbed Stewart a year after DWill?  I would not doubt it.  Marty likes the safe picks that make him look good right away.  A developmental player (like a DE or DT) he seems to struggle with.

I don't think we really have any interest in finding a classic powerback to compliment CMC. We had that last year and barely used him before cutting him. I think we're going to try and find a poor man's version of CMC to be our #2.

I agree, but a drafted back is cheaper than picking up a former pro bowl vet. If we barely plan to use him, the draft is the cheaper option.

He has a point. 4.6 for a 222 pound back is kinda trash, considering superior prospects like fournette clocked 2.52 at 233. NFL is a game of inches and that could be the difference between a good back and a serviceable one. I wouldn’t even consider him before round 3/4.

I'm not outright dismissing it. I just prefer to use actual football film as a better measuring stick than the combine in regard to NFL potential.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
