Definitely a few factors that go into it as well.  Like which other divisions you play that year, playing in London, etc.

Last years for comparison.

and im not sure what the correlation is between distance traveled and W-Ls. Because we crapped the bed in the 2nd half of the season and went 7- 9 despite by far having to travel the shortest distance compared to any other team.  Falcons, Bengals, Jets didn't do well either.

The california teams will always be in the top half because they simply arent located anywhere near most other teams states.

Can't post a new topic but figured I'd drop these in here and maybe someone else would post the topic. Credit to reddit user labate54 taking over for dbeat on doing every NFL team.  I like using the field only for my phone screensaver so I included the cropped version of the day/night field as well.

You can't ask for a more favorable first 6 games and the bye right after. If we can win that Rams game we should be able to get off to a fast start.

Yeah we did last year too. It depends on Cam's shoulder. Is it going to last two games, 8 games, whole season and then mess up if we make playoffs. A lot of question marks if u ask me.

    • This And with possibly needing to replace Bryce next year and a deep QB class, I do not hate the idea of moving far enough back to pick up another 1st rounder next year out of the deal. I wouldn't have said that a week ago, but I also never expected us to land 3 big FA's at our 3 biggest positions of need like we have, it totally changes things.
    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
