Oh well....we got the linemen we needed already

end of third, it was doubtful anyone we took would even make the team

pick #100...I can live with this

I'm pretty sure any of the top 5 safeties out there would instantly replace Gaulden on our roster. Now we will get none of them and continue to let Gaulden waste a space on our roster

I'm about over this draft already and we still have day 3 remaining.  I can't remember the last time I was actually excited about how a Panthers draft shook out.  Yeah, a selection here and there, but as a whole, I'm usually disappointed.

Damn man you should send your resume to the Panthers. I'm sure they could use an expert like yourself.

Only 12 picks ahead of us in the 4th round. Gotta hope either Gardner-Johnson or Deionte Thompson is still there for us. Would make me feel better about our draft and roster. Wrenn is a consideration too to plug in as a 3-4 end.

Not a Thompson fan at all.  That being said if we do get a safety, that would be the one the team selects.  Why?  Apparently they hate me.

Expert... hardly. I just have half a brain cell like most people that have ever watched a football game before that know you should draft BPA among areas of need, not sub-par players in an area of strength

    • That was tough. There was a sense he was pushing for an extension if I remember, and at the same time was pretty degraded physically from what he was when that contract was written. So if he wants a re-commitment at QB market value, what do you do?  Without the benefit of hindsight, did you think he had any great years left in him at that time? To give him the rate of 30 million which I believe is what the better contracts had gotten to.  I have sure disagreed with about everything done under Tepper including Rhule and then Bridgewater so I am not defending that, it was just a tough spot to be in. Watch NFL Redzone once in a while.
    • There is no more impactful position in all of team sports.
    • So, objectively, you'd say from a holistic review of Rico's performance and the team overall there were at least a dozen players on the team that performed at least as well if not better in their roles?
