Looks like the Canes have figured out the Islanders defense and Lehner. Either that or the Canes speed and relentlessness is wearing them out.

They're running them. The 2nd half of the 3rd period was played in the NY end. They barely had a chance to pull the goalie.

Definitely the latter. During those last 10 minutes you could tell the Canes wanted it so much more. Isles couldn't complete a pass and the pressure the Canes applied on the front check was constant.

I remember the 06 SCF crowds. The crowds at this year's home games have rivaled that. Place sounds like it's gonna explode a lot of times. You can tell the louder it gets, it effects both teams. The canes build a ton of momentum off it and the opposing teams just struggle to do anything. Home ice is big everywhere but watching this Dallas game, it's a church in comparison.

Nbcsports.com if you have a cable subscription.

Mobdro app is like a jailbreak app version for online streaming. My Canadian friend got me hooked up. He is on the bandwagon since his team didn't do much this year aye.

My buddy went to game 4 in Raleigh last series and he's a Caps fan. Probably told this story on here before. But, Hell why not again.

He said "I hope our crowd can be remotely like your crowd dude. That place is ridiculous. It's like you fans do a line of coke before they go into the arena, then do a line between each period. That place is insane." Going into work the next day in Charlotte he said "I can't hear myself think, and my ears are still ringing. I fuging hate that we lost."

Latter, they didn't get a shot on goal until 2 minutes remained. Their last before that was with 14 minutes in the third period.

We certainly locked our blue line down in the 3rd. Their last 3 shots on goal were at 7:28, 16:32, and 18:53. Maybe better conditioning? It was mentioned after a couple of home wins during the regular season that they were going to the weight room to lift immediately after the games and you could hear them all in there singing. Is that a normal thing, or a Rod the Bod thing?

Edit: I guess it's a thing. https://twitter.com/NHLCanes/status/1123771396604272641

The clearest example as that double OT game against the Caps. The Caps looked like they were skating in molasses. Our guys had so much more energy left.

    • Got to give some credit to the coaching staff on these. You can grab top talents but without good coaching, they just fizzle out. We've seen that a lot around here.
    • Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
    • Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc.    I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter.  Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer.   UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
