If you want to be the best you play the best.  He would be a good test for our young receivers.  His suspension is unfortunate for the Cards.  As far as I know he does not have a history of being a jerk....if so I likely would have a different opinion.

Sorry but i disagree. Theres such a thin line between winning and losing games in the NFL that you should want any break you can get. Theres no such thing as a bad road win in the NFL - take as many as you can

A team that is battle tested and earns their way to the playoffs has a better chance of succeeding. Let our young guys learn by playing the best.

Not sure how the numbers stack up recently, but of the first 43 Super Bowl champions, only 9 faced a regular season schedule where their opponents had a combined record over .500. That doesn't bode well for your argument.

At the end of the day, it's about winning and losing, not who you won and lost to. It's not like in college where strength of schedule can play major role in getting you into the playoff.

And since then?

My original point was that our young receivers could learn from the best...prepare them for later.

I said I'm not sure. Even if all 10 are over .500, that's still a 19 vs. 34.

I'll take the weakest schedule we can get year in and year out and we'll have a higher chance of making the playoffs and thus winning the Super Bowl for it. A big part of the Patriots' dynasty is the fact that they play in one of the weakest divisions in the NFL year in and year out. It's a big help.

Playing against someone who's cheating is not a good test.
