Statistically he is and he’s basically played half the seasons of those others. Obviously you can get into more nuanced things like what those guys meant to team, playoff wins, first downs etc. but Cam is on trajectory to be the best Black qb ever. Best dual threat ever if he keeps the pace he will surpass my favorite qb of all time Steve young. You’ll start hearing people say that in commentary in a couple of years IF the shoulder is ok.

Guess what Cam won't sniff HOF unless he wins a SB. I don't care what kind of qb he is!

Point is, aside from the ring (yet) he's accomplished more and has set and broken quite a few records that won't be touched for a long time. People lump him into the "running QB" genre with Vick, etc. but he's always been so much more than that. he is a one of a kind player who has performed as such and that is why he will be quick to get in. he has been handicapped with poor coaching, bad WRs, and a porous OL for years, but the dude keeps churning out yards, first downs, and TDs. one way or another, he keeps getting it done. say what you want about his pressers, his vids, his wardrobe choices, and all the other off-field stuff....there has never been a player on the field like him.

I think he either needs a Lombardi, or he needs to play well into his late 30s with good stats.

MVP awards worth at least two Lombardis. Cam holds too many significant records to be kept out of the Hall even if he died tomorrow. Rookie season and his rushing record in particular can’t be ignored.

No way he has to win a SB.

I don't think all of that is enough to get in the HoF if he never played another down.

Hes played 8 seasons, about 33,000 combined passing and rushing yards, and 240 combined passing and rushing touchdowns.

That's not that impressive by itself but its extremely good progress if he has a decently long career. If he can get to 60,000 combined yards and 500 total TDs thats more than enough, but he'd have to either play 8-10 more years or have a few more 2015-esque seasons.
