There's a bigger bust than Vernon Butler from the 2016 draft

Living in Colorado, the land of the long standing legal weed, I will say that there's a lot about the effects of weed we just don't understand.

I smoked a poo ton of weed in my younger days. The type of smoking that would make Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg blush. We had this brilliant idea through high school and college that if we just stayed high all the time that no one would realize we were high. It pretty much worked.

It was after I had to quite cold turkey for a few months to get a job (working in Rocky Mountain National Park) that I never got back into routine smoking. I'm super prone to paranoia after smoking these days. A lot of that is no doubt due to simply having a lot more responsibilities these days. But still, I literally never struggled with that before quitting and starting back.

Also, THC percentage seemingly doesn't mean poo in terms of the high a strain gives you. I've smoked low THC strains that had me reaching for a beer to take the edge off and then there's some high (20%+) strains that are super mellow. There are over 100 different identified cannibinoids and the majority of them have had very little in the way of studies done on them. The vast majority of the studies center around THC and CBD.

First of all, someone smoking weed and suddenly having a panic attack and needing to go to the hospital is ludicrous.  It means it probably wasn't weed.  Second, even if it was weed, causation /=/ correlation.  There is likely more at play than weed and it could have been a condition that was triggered.

But that is why I don't believe you.  Because that's just ridiculous.  It either didn't happen, it wasn't weed, or she had another condition.  Explain to me how marijuana in a normal human being triggers hospital-worthy panic attacks that resemble a heart attack (I don't think you know what a heart attack is).  This isn't LSD or mushrooms we are talking about, where I suppose someone could panic to the point that it looks like a heart attack.  As someone who has had a panic attack after smoking, I have never heard of anyone getting so high they needed to go to the hospital.  Unless that was literally her first time smoking.  And if that was the case, then yeah her thinking something was wrong rather than she was simply high as hell makes sense.  There is just no way you can say with certainty weed was the direct cause of that.

The thing is you keep making statements that can't be proven.  Your only defense is, "people defended tobacco too."  What evidence do you have, beyond your supposed first-person experiences, that supports the theory that marijuana directly causes people to be stupid?

just one of many studies. Weed causes severe panic attacks in some people. My brothers ex wife for one,.. a girl at a hair dresser a month ago,.. and a friend of mine that smoked for years and was a weed fanatic(like many here obviously) and refused to believe it,... same guy with the pancreatitis.

It’s actually quite common. I can’t believe it’s not more mainstream.

The bottom line is just like all drugs, some get better or worst effects but they aren’t good for everyone.

I worked at a clinic treating non-epileptic psychogenic seizures and panic attacks and have actually been published on the topic.  If you want to argue the legitimacy of marijuana as a serious somatic trigger, you might be out of your element.

I’ve only my 2 eyes my friend and as many studies as you can count,..

it helps many,.. but hurts many as well. Such is all drugs.

Nobody is bent out of shape. However stating or implying weed causes pancreatic issues can't be proven to be true, so coming up with situations and saying "it must be weed" is foolish.  So yes I’m going to call him out on spreading misinformed opinions.

But since you seem to agree with him.  Explain to me how smoking weed hurts your pancreas.  I'm not saying it doesn't, but I have no idea as to how it could so I would definitely like to be educated.

Actually it has been proven to be true. Maybe go read and maybe you will find the why.

The sky is blue, and it took thousands of years to answer why,.. but it’s just true just the same.
