The fact that no one has mentioned a legitimate replacement candidate to follow up their moaning should tell you all you need to know

It’s easy to fire someone on a message board. No cascading issues, no staffing issues no morale issues.  Coach is gone, good riddance yippie!

for every McVay and Bellicheck there are many Greg Schianos George Seiferts.

Rivera will be a HC again in this league, probably as soon as next season.  In fact there's a good chance he'll have a longer tenure at his next stop than our eventual next HC has here.

Too bad Ron is so tied to an executive as bad as Hurney.  If Tepper already had his GM, I think there's a good chance he'd survive.  Hopefully we stumble into a Gettleman situation where the next GM takes a shine to Ron.

There is no celebration in watching another season of talented players potentially squandered.

Not all of this is Rivera's fault. But the same issues keep biting us in the ass, and the buck stops with Ron. He has been in place for almost 10 years. He has been shaping all of this.

We need to be honest about something. Ron the last couple of years has been iffy on coaching hires too. After McDermott left for Buffalo Ron has only brought in his friends or promoted from within. Turner has been a mixed bag at OC, Washington was really bad last year. To top it all of we were outcoached by Byron Leftwich last Thursday night.

Disagree with Byron outcoaching Ron. The D did fine and plenty to win the game other than Luke’s dropped INT. I’m getting concerned about him. He’s not the same guy.

Bowles on the other hand knew exactly how to exploit our weak O line and dodgy passing. Tip of the hat to him in all honesty for having the balls to just go straight up 90% 8 men in the box. The other 10% was probably the last drive while in some sort of prevent shell. A true masterclass in defensive game planning after being crapped on the last few years.

Dan Campbell.

And I'll say it again: I'll take a chance on a new coach who might be bad or might be good rather than stick with a coach I know just isn't good enough.

its weird because todd bowles could have been our dc, and ron could've been just focused on head coaching.     its just so weird. hiring someone who can't do their job so you have to do it for them.  i guess that's a good thing.

We act like 2 COTY and a Super Bowl appearance in 8 seasons give or take is unforgivable. Spoiled ass franchise if you ask me.

Didn't one of the Bucs receivers also drop a touchdown? I remember it being close.

This is a defensive team. That's been it's backbone for years. We've used significant resources reloading our defense while our offensive line has been.....not well. When the defense has a chance at a turnover, they have to capitalize. To the Bucs at home? Come on now.

We are now facing some very hard truths, even about Cam. There's no sense trying to shine up a turd, 0-2 is still 0-2. Our playmakers need to step up.

Debatable whether it was dropped. Evans(I think) would have had to pull an OBJ on that one to actually haul it in. Winston put it about 8 inches too far which really makes it insane the margins these guys deal with on 30+ yard passes. Bradberry had it pretty well covered(not perfect) so if they complete that one you say well done and move on. Perfect offense beats perfect defense every time.

I'd be more concerned about acting like three winning seasons out of a nine year span was some respectable feat.

And Coach of the Year awards mean nothing. Arians won them twice in Arizona as well before he was fired.

This notion that a coach who can only manage one winning season out of three is some coaching savant is just off target.
