Go ahead and fall in love with 1st and 2nd round safeties. I have been for years. Let me go ahead and tell you, it hasn't worked out well for me. Find you some late round or UDFA safeties because that's where we shop.

Sadly, this is the truth. I really wanted to trade up to get Derwin James. I knew it would never happen.

I wanted Calvin Ridley instead of DJ. Verdict is still out on that one but I don’t think there’s a definitive superior receiver between the two.

At that point, I didn’t care which one we got. Just that we got a WR and I agree that it likely would have made very little difference which we drafted.

What is the deepest group in the draft? I would think OL or DL should be where we invest. I like them both, but Trai and KK are getting up there and injured.

We drafted Trai when he was 20, he's young enough to get another decent contract here if health and production match up. KK's the one that'll be coming off rehab and entering next season at 31

I somewhat believe the panthers would have have drafted Derwin James had he continue to fall. Also I do remember when Dallas jumped ahead of Carolina and drafted safety Q.Woods. (in the 6th)

Ive been meaning to ask you- what are your bottom three nfl football positions(minus STs)?

In the sense you are building a team, which are the last three spots you would value?

Honestly, it's kind of a loaded question. A lot of it depends on the scheme the opportunity to add a truly special player at a particular position kind of skews the value as well. I mean, a team may not highly value safeties, but imagine there's a guy you think is the next Earl Thomas sitting there in the late 1st... you gotta take him. The opposite is also true. Even if a position isn't of high value to you if you have a total scrub out there it's going to hurt you.

But, to answer your question, IMO the three least valuable positions are OG, TE, and S. Probably in that order.

I wouldn't care if they used every 2020 pick on O line. Tackles, guards, center. We need all of it.

I’d agree. Pull a cowboys. Sprinkle in a safety if the value is there.

i would say a nice HB to compliment cmc but we’d need a new coaching staff to utilize that

I'd like to see our young OT's get a chance to develop before we start drafting their replacements, please and thank you

Position of needs go as follows

FS

OG

DT

CB

Big bodied WR

Let's see what happens with Little. I just hope these concussions aren't Oher v. 2.0.

    • I agree.  I don’t think I have ever been accused of being a Howell fan. No more than fan of some other random QB.   But I watched and I saw. He has some talent. Maybe I didn’t watch close enough to see his weaknesses.
    • He is a pit bull when it comes to that.  And after he missed out last year on Williams, it seems he is trying a different approach, looks like. Don’t hold back. No half measures, because someone will come and full measure your ass. Close the deal. He left a little opening for The Patriots last year.  He closed so far this year. Of what we know about.
    • They have been doing the mercenary one year RB now for a little while. Foreman..  It works pretty well. You can find ball carriers. The passing game trips a lot of those guys up. Pass blocking, route running, they have a lot to know.    Rico wasn’t a great pass blocker but he got in the way most of the time. He is a really good pass catcher.     He’s tough. Needs to find out why he was cramping late in the games. If he can fix that maybe can step up even more. Wish him luck. I think he’ll do well.    If Brooks can be something, what a bonus that would be at this point.  I really believe they went for him because of his extra layer with being a good receiver. And we need more of that with what we are working with trying to move the ball.
