It really sucks from an emotional standpoint looking back at all the good memories the last several years, but that's just the reality of football and time in general. I feel the same. My biggest questions are one is his arm right and two will it stay right. I mean he's been out over a year now. I will never question his toughness or game changing ability but Allen is super consistent right now and has a defense that can back him up.

I don't know, that Cards game was pretty nice.  I know their defense sucks but Allen still made some really impressive throws that day regardless.  A few of those throws while on the run looked like some Russell Wilson/Aaron Rodgers poo.

I remember fully expecting to get our ass kicked that day only to have to damn near pick my jaw up off the floor when he hit us with that performance.

Granted, he hasn't shown any of that since then, but he does throw a rather consistent pass and is at least semi accurate on deep balls.

I’m not cutting him down. That’s the facts. I loved Jimmy just as much as Cam and didn’t even want us to draft Cam. I wanted AJ Green. So I understand the difference between a Matt Moore and a JD. I’m thrilled to have Allen as he’s allowed this team to remain relevant, but stating facts is just facts. You play Cam because he’s better at his best than Kyle can be.

Teddy is also undefeated and actually playing a little better than Allen and also has a higher ceiling, but do you think anyone is questioning putting Brees back out there?
