If you find somebody else with my posting style, you let me know. I'm nobodies alt and never posted to these boards til a few months ago. I did peruse them on and off over the years, and I *think* I have this vague memory of Igo inviting me to join his newly formed community years ago because at the time I posted to some boards hosted by the Observer, but I got away from sports oriented boards for a long time. I was posting pretty regular to the boards for a game I was playing but the game turned into a flaming dumpster fire and I gave it up as a bad cause.

So now you're all stuck with me. Feel free to bask in the warm glow of my brilliance til Kungfoo dude points out the next thing I'm wrong about.

We'd be talking circa late 90's early 2000's. The only thing I can recall that would help put a time frame on it is for some reason I remember posting about a young free agent DT the panthers had for a year or two that everyone called "The Pig Farmer". Kid had to quit football because of some medical condition, if you can remember who and when that was. How come no one ever tells you what cocaine does to your memory? Maybe they did and it didn't help...

Plus if you think the Observer's boards were bad, you should see some of the gaming message boards I've seen, although there is a certain entertainment value to be had in Korean and Chinese gamers trying to talk smack in broken engrish with a very limited profanity vocab. You haven't lived til you've been told to go suck a mule prostate by a 12 year old posting from Seoul.

Jordan Carstens.

He was good. Potentially really good.  I think he got injured, though.

That was the kid. Didn't he wind up having some non football medical condition though? Like a blood disease or some such? Or maybe the injury was bad enough to derail his career.  I don't know, and at this point my long term memory is clearly questionable. CRS is a beeotch.

Don't remember for certain what it was. I just know it was medical / injury related. Might indeed have been some kind of weird health condition.

Whatever it was, it sucked because the kid was damn good.

Yeah I just remember whatever it was being weird and freakish and feeling bad for the kid because he had overcome long odds to show he belonged.

$2.3mil in base salary for ‘19, so roughly half that would hit our cap.

Bucs has thought enough of him in April to exercise his 5th year option for ‘20 which would pay him $9.6mm.

So if we claim him we owe a little over $1mil in ‘19 with $0 dead cap. Could cut him at any time and not owe anything. Or if it works out could keep him through ‘20.
