Any votes for continuity?

So sick of this limp-dick, wet-cardboard trash that Rivera brings year in, year out. We should have thrown everything we could at Andy Reid years back. Surely there is someone more competent out there. As far as Hurney goes, I was never a fan before; MH 2.0 kind of won me over with some of the FA signings but that Greir pick really was a head scratcher. Also, watching Butker in KC is really annoying. If I had one wish it would be for a coach and GM that value the safety position. Just once i’d love to see an elite safety wreaking havoc in a panthers jersey.

Some are saying this now, but when we go 4-12 with a new coach those same people will be calling for his head.

The odds of finding someone more capable than 'Boat are very very low.

Our best hope is for Tepper to retain Ol' Riverboat and coach him up.

(i)  That ship has sailed.  If it makes you feel any better Reid would have never agreed to work for The Big Cat anyway.

(ii)  Who do you have in mind?  No known top-tier proven talent available on the open-market that I am aware of.

(iii)  Agreed.  3rd tier talent isn't going to get it done there.

The Butker thing kills me. Did Hurn and Ron really go “whelp, a long time aging vet just edged out a rookie, I guess we’ll just roll with Gano. Promising kickers grow on trees ya-know. We’ll get another one when we need it”

Both performed at very high levels but Gano outperformed Butker the following 2-years -- it was the logical choice at the time.

Our best hope is for Tepper to stay out of the coaching. Figures you'd of all people would have this opinion.. Dumbest smart guy on the board

I am tired of advocating, mostly I don't advocate because for one thing no one here has any say in what happens so why try to convince you, and some of you or really most, I don't really care if you approve or not, of what I think. I do not approve of about anything you think so we are even.

I do like to discuss Panthers football though and there aren't many places for that.

All of that said,

If they want to keep Cam they should value continuity. He looked good under Turner and then all his crap started. The shoulder. Now before we even know about the shoulder being right or not it is a foot. What will it be next? But, if he can play and they jettison Norv then you never gave what looked good a chance. And just throw that out and start over with an old dog learning tricks, not to mention the people on offense that have been working in this system having to learn as well. The whole thing brings me to yeah, let's donate another year or two to adjusting. That is what I want to live through.  Wait until the Quarterback is history before you seriously consider that.

The other thing, in everyone's rush to run Rivera off, everything I have read in the past about moving to 3-4 or 4-3 from the other, is that switching schemes does not happen in one year. But no one seems to pay attention to that. People, and I am going by what I see here, are so impatient and quick to condemn anything that doesn't give them instant gratification and that is what I see with this "MoRon's defense sucks he needs to go" school of thoughT. You long term people who hate Rivera, well I am sick of swimming against that tide your minds are made up and will never change. So whatever there. There is no doubt he is not perfect but he is very good. If the players don't play for him, it doesn't matter how good he is. I have nothing to do with it, no influence on it. I do think we can do worse is a very legitimate concern.

i don't want continuity.  i want ron and co gone.   we get out coached against good coaches.   our tackles are so bad we're leaving our center on an island.   the line they went into the season with, yet again, is awful.  we've got crap at wr.  we've got 1 good corner.  we have no one who can recognize talent.   without rose colored homer glasses we're just not very good.  we haven't been very good.  there's not a lot of good young guys on the team.   as long as this staff is in place there isn't going to be.   we have a team in our division who drafts well, coaches well, develops well - a team who forced payton to get rid of his cronies and is now good on both sides of the ball.    we're not going to be able to compete with them year in and year out with this crew.

oh, and lulz at people who worship rich people.  that's hilarious
