I need him to perform like this regardless of how the other 2 units are performing in games consistently before I changed my tune or opinion on him

Fair enough. My point is simply looking at this one game in the scope of a small sample size of games. I’m not claiming him to be the next Brady like some but I’m also not going to waive him off after one really bad game or being butt hurt that Cam might be gone.

Yeah but just as many folks do that with Cam too

Allen is clearly talented, he just turned the ball over too much. Hopefully he keeps this going, ball security and better decisions today and I'm happy he's doing well

Agreed it goes both ways on the Cam front. I personally just want to see ALL of our guys do well. I’m not rooting for anyone to lose, even if it means keeping our staff intact. I’ll always take the “W.”

It’s all about non complacency, if the cam era ends it needs to be followed by a era of equal or better, not downgrading just cause

We have to be realistic that a generational talent in Newton might not be an easy find.

I stay by my position that we can get it done with a stout D, game manager at QB, and protecting the football.

I like Cam and hope he plays next year. I will defend him from being bashed for reasons that got nothing to do with football.

I like Allen bc of "he plays for my fave team bias" but he also has some talent and it's worth it to see if he has a future considering QBs cost money and if you can get him cheap while paying CMC before he's used up (he's a RB, be realistic) and while paying other positions like corner and pass rusher. We wanna win, after all

Ask the bears where that’s getting them, it’s good in theory, but you need to hit on defense, talking generational talent on each level of the defense to replicate some of the Super Bowl wins some of the Trent differs and Peyton in his final season achieved.

we don’t need a generational talent but if you have a hard time out performing cam passing wise, one of the biggest knocks on him, than without the running ability you’re really not making the team better

I still don’t think that offense is being utilized correctly but I see your comparison.

    • Was at the game and NYCFC honestly outplayed CLT the whole way.  Khalina and Zaha carried the team.  Zaha's wife on IG making it sound like he's gone come July. They're going to have to pay him or find a big time replacement because the team looks like pretty lost without him.
    • No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
    • Honestly its why that Jalen Coker grab was a big deal.  I'd been warming up to the idea of a sadiq pick and was adamantly against a receiver...but this altered my train of thought.  I mean For instance, Cade Otton signed for 3 yr 30 mil contract...thats not dramatically different than the rookie payscale for #19 (4 year 20 mil with 5th year option), however you KNOW otton is decent...no clue if Sadiq will be anything.
