Why sign Shaq Thompson to a 5 year deal.  He is not that good to give him a 5 year deal for 60 million.  Misses or fails to wrap up when tackling.  Is burn too many times when trying to cover a WR as NO proved on Sunday.  Gets caught out of position too many times and RB runs by him.  Maybe give him a 3.5 million 2 year contact.  Unless you heard Surratt is leaving Carolina this year then it could be an interesting pickup for a year on the PS to see what he could learn.  It would be best he stayed at UNC for his Senior year to give him another year on defense.  Trade Jackson to another team for a 4th or 5th round pick.  Too many mental mistakes and is poor tackler.

It looks like we will be picking mid-round again.  At worse we are 6-10 and at best 8-8.  Typical, just good enough to miss out on a top 10 pick and bad enough not to make the playoffs.

Both Shaq and Luke were amazing beginning of the season until the dline collapsed. LBs cannot do anything no matter how great they are if they are not free. Look at SF. Fred Warner is good but is no where the player Luke is. Warner is flying everywhere making plays on Sundays.

I don't have a problem with Luke.  I just see Shaq as too sloppy in many areas of the game.  I just don't think is Shaq worth 60 million over 5 years.  Willing to give him 2 years and no more than 6 to 7 million and draft a young LB to replace him.

6-7 million? You better check the LB contracts again. Guys are making 16-17 a year

yeah but his 1st round hits are so good usually that they make up for that slight desparity and then some imo.
