You get a new GM, the draft becomes a crapshoot again.  Much better to keep around the guy with a record of never missing in the early parts of the draft and hire some assistant gms to help him with the areas he's weak at.

 

How about we keep Marty on to do nothing but choose our first round pick every year....then leave all the other GM duties to the new guy?

Why get rid of a guy who is almost guaranteed to draft a pro bowler with our upcoming 1st round pick, especially after seeing DJ Moore emerge as the 4th best receiver in the NFL (statistically).

Hurney needs some help with free agency, which is why Tepper is adding an assistant GM;  you have to keep Hurney around for the draft

He drafts well.  This year’s draft is solid except Grier but that was a Turner pick.
