I've done the radio thing. It moves the needle zero. Absolutely zero. A tiny fraction of what a simple social media post does.

I don't do anything that doesn't a) make me happy or b) make me money. Radio does neither.

Tell that to Howard Stern...just get Sirius to pick you up

@WoahW you’re really going in

As he should. Its sad that our former MVP QB has to be defended so damned much. Even if its emotions running wild, we're FANS for god sake! We aren't paid to root for this kicker bucket franchise but do cause we love it. Its disgusting that guys here are looked down upon for wanting nothing but to see the best QB this franchise has ever had stay and be prosperous while folks pretend they are "ITKs" and general "know it all's" when in reality they have more pride than sense.

Keep ruffling there feathers @WoahW!

I wish I could say I can't wait to show this thread when he doesn't come back. But you know what you will be like these other guys on here when their wrong, they disappear. disappear the simpsons GIF

Apparently you didn’t read that fully. If it’s best for the team it’s time we move on but if we get offered a 3rd for him should we take it? fug no, let it ride and see what he has. We would get a comp pick if he gets signed after next year anyways...makes no sense team wise unless we get a great haul, which I don’t think we will but if a team is dumb enough to do that by all means grab a 1st and 3rd from a team with a high pick

You dont do radio because you weren't good at at. Just be honest. And the podcast excursion was a snoozer.

I could never do anywhere as well as you with that type of stuff so I'm not taking the piss...but be honest

All possible outcomes depend on whether Newton is healthy or not, but not solely that. There's also the question of whether the Panthers are willing to pay him what he wants. If they're not, then he's likely going to someone who does.

Bottom line, you can feel free to judge the legitimacy of sources by whether they tell you what you want to hear or not, but it's not a good idea. Our inside guys have certainly told me things I didn't want to hear, but they were right.

And that's what actually matters...

Scot stop beating around the bush. Which letter works for the team best? We don’t know Cam’s health this is based off the options we have. Which works the best for the team, healthy or not? Because if he’s not healthy then we aren’t getting poo from anybody and would most likely let him go via release if he has zero shot of being healthy to begin with

I take all “insiders” with a grain of salt because at the end of the day none are fully connected to the people running the show, and things change infinitely before decisions get made.

Keep it up! Your posts are a lot more intriguing if not less annoying than folks like @Snake who only has Cam's nuts on his mind.

What part of acknowledging that he might be playing somewhere else next year is "attacking" him?

Newton has to do what's best for him. if that means going somewhere that's willing to pay him more or for longer than the Panthers, that's a perfectly valid decision.

Julius did it. Others have done it. Newton may do it too.

That's football. It happens.

Eh, podcast audience grew and grew up to 10k listens an episode. That's not too shabby. Just got tired of it. But I agree, I'm not good at radio at all. 2 minutes of talk followed by 5 minutes of commercials where the hosts make fun of the listeners for being so dumb. Yeah, not a great thing to be a part of.

My beef is with the general atmosphere of this place since Cam has gotten injury prone. I know the NFL if not sports in general is very cutthroat but damn! The lukewarm(at best) atmosphere about the best QB this franchise has ever had by setting the bar at heights we may not see for a while is very displeasing.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
