we really need to focus on the lines.

but I think you almost have to be aware of what a deep WR class this is....I mean you could get a great WR at a spot you likely couldn't in other years.

Agree on the lines.

I don't care if we draft a quarterback who's a track star or a statue. He has to have a solid defensive line to work behind.

The practice of just putting a mobile guy behind a Swiss cheese line is hopefully something Ron Rivera took with him when he left.

I don't want him in the 1st, but let's just say he's sitting there in the 2nd? Yeah, I'm tempted. Very tempted.

Hurts? I've seen a lot of good stuff about him but haven't watched him myself.

Second round is, I think, what analysts have been saying.

Yeah, my biggest question is translation to the NFL. Lincoln Riley is basically the NFL version of Andy Reid. It just doesn't matter who the QB is, that offense just keeps on rolling.

Fair point.

Isn't the same kind of thing often said about Alabama quarterbacks? Who was the last one from there that made much of an impact in the pros?

Sure as heck wasn't what's his face with the hot girlfriend. I can't even remember his name.

Edit: A J McCarron, name finally came to me

That was back when they were still just playing very basic ball control grind it out football on offense and just relying on dominant D and sheer talent advantage to win. Even Saban realizes that's no longer a recipe for success and they've really opened up the offense in recent years.

So then sitting the injury question aside, who would you take between Hurts and Tua?

I know one was benched for the other but does that really matter at the pro level?
