I don't think you'll find many people arguing that Hurney is good but rather he is better than Gettleman. Obviously an upgrade would be much preferred.

its a little too early to tell but money money could be snyderhaslamjones all wrapped up into one...preoccupation with MLS has me worried...he'll either be a force like no other or a complete flop...

Gettleman took over a lousy team coached by a lousy coach when they were over the cap due to Hurney's mismanagement and had us in the Super Bowl within three years.

Hurney took over a playoff quality team and ran them into the ground within two.

The argument over who was the better Panthers GM is over. Only an idiot wouldn't recognize that.

Hindsight is 20 20 and hindsight says JR should have fired Rivera in 2013 after starting 1-3. He was clear then he wasn't the man. Yeah he went and made the playoffs 4 more times after, but firing him was inevitable he could never maximize the potential on the team.
