This game isn't necessarily souring me on Matt Rhule (though I'll grant I wasn't a big Matt Rhule fan anyway) but I'm coming away with more positive impressions of Jake Fromm than I am Rhule.

I've always liked Fromm. I'm not sure about him in the NFL, but as a college QB I've always really liked him. He had a down year. Big 12 defenses tend to help QBs look good.

And that says a lot about Rhule. Fromm has struggled for like the past six weeks. The Big12 is awful.

That's the way it looks right now, but former powerhouses like FSU, Miami, USC, etc. are all sleeping giants. Pretty much any major P5 university in a recruiting hotbed could become a powerhouse if all the chips fall into place.

It wouldn’t take much for TX AM to replace Auburn If alll that oil money starts paying off.

And it will take awhile because those schools above are recruiting better than everyone else. Tough to make up ground. It is hard to believe that a coach can’t succeed at FSU and MIA. Someone will eventually..

He has the skills. They are there but mentally I think he needs another year and even then a good situation.

    • I did not want to start or even think about *if* BY reverts back to pre-non last 9 games.   There is a lane in which Panthers are looking QB after this season, I feel its higher than most will realize. I mean....not kidding... has any team ever traded up to 1st overall twice in the teams history? I don't even want to think within 3 years, just foresee Tepper squeezing Dans and Brandts sacs to the point were they are forced to trade up for a another savior.....   The kicker is I feel this way with BY playing good-great..... I think there with be non-fixable problems for contract negotiations between BY&reps vs Panthers org on the whole. You can not pay 50+ million per over few years with 70% guarantees for 3,303 yards 15 TDs and 9 INTs......Cursed I tell you....
    • It's not surprising, but it's still surprising that many of these guys don't manage their money in such a way that provides them and their families a better lifestyle than most for the rest of their lives without even working a nine-to-five. I can't imagine making over a 100 mil for a decade and ultimately ruminating about supporting my family due to financial issues.
    • That why i mentioned the KC dynasty. Those three different playoff loses were not Allens fault, in fact 1-2 plays and Bills win. KC just have better players and better coaches and more luck.  Defense-wise, Bills have been trying to crack the Reid-Halhomes magic. Its near impossible with rules and KC home field advantage. Spags has started to force the league in naming him the best DC in NFL history. I agree if you take away Bill bielacheat.... Add in Andy Reid the best QB coach and brilliant play designer/play-caller, I mean that's too much for one QB to over-come on his own.  Just trolling or not, bad is bad scot. Allen is legit as any one QB has ever been.
