Well, Rome wasn't built in a day and the NFL is a high demand job. Not patient enough for a Roman's pace.

I'm going off of what I see, they have a LOT more info than I.  Must be something there turning people off, many have said he does have a "strange" personality.

He's the smartest coordinator in the entire NFL, and also commands the respect of his players and everyone around him.

The Vikings ownership is so terrified of losing him, they are considering firing Mike Zimmer (who is an excellent coach in his own right), to elevate Kevin.  How often has that ever happened in the NFL?

Even if you read any Vikings forum, they're scared of losing the guy and want to replace Zimmer with him.

Stefanski can be the next Sean McVay, and responsible for making Kirk Cousins look like an elite QB.   

Yeah so this isn’t exactly true. There’s a thread over on the Vikings forum and most would rather keep Zimmer and that Stefanski isn’t really head coach material. They had a vote thread. I really don’t know enough about this guy to make a decision either way but here’s the forum of Zimmer vs Stefanski. A lot of them didn’t know whether to credit Stefanski or Kubiak for the offense. So when you talk about Bieniemy and Andy Reid as if all the success goes to Reid then you can say the same about Kubiak. Who is an offensive guru as well.

McCarthy is the only one that would truly upset me, the rest I'm in a wait and see, but I'm gonna root for you either way kinda mood.

The last few years of coaching hires does not have me jumping for joy right now....Wilkes, Gase, Ariens, etc....

I'm not going to jump for joy over any unproven NFL HC. That's just how it is.

That thread was started a month ago;  Viking fans have turned on Zimmer since then for being too conservative

And Kubiak doesn't call any of the plays for the Vikings, he's only a consultant

Agreed. I am kind of going to be in the same place with our entire offseason, TBH. The only thing that will cause me to get super excited is going to be Cam returning healthy, because I know how much better he is capable of making us. Other than that, I want to see all the new pieces in action, the new coaches in action, etc. Going to try and not get too high or too low.

Mr. Spock is ultra-intelligent, but if you're appointing a captain of the ship, would you want him or James Kirk?

I think that might be the thing with Roman. Maybe he's a guy who makes your staff better but he's not necessarily a leader.

That right there.  Fans have an awfully hard time grasping that concept though.

Yeah only a month ago. Doesn’t change anything that was said when they’re desperate now. Kubiak was brought in as an offensive consultant. You can downplay that all you want. But Kubiak is a big deal. Great offensive mind.

It's the interview window that the NFL allows to keep successful coaches from losing out on opportunities.

Can’t accept until Pats are eliminated though, so the timeline is affected by which teams win and lose in the playoffs.
