He has no time as an offensive coordinator anywhere.

1 year as a college Passing Game Coordinator....not Offensive Coordinator. The OC is Ensminger

2 years as an offensive assistant for the Saints.

2 years as a college linebackers coach

2 years as graduate assistant at Penn State

Sure, but people are criticizing the potential hire saying that he is a college guy, and that we need an nfl guy.  Out of the last 3 years, he's had 2 in the NFL, 1 in college.

this makes me question even the talks about Snow. All these topics say, "expected" rather than "actual" talks. At this point I think the only thing solid is the Rhule signing so everything else is just fluff from uncertain sources.  Until  agreements are actually made...

What do you expect him to say? "Yeah I'm leaving for NFL moment Championship game is over"

He could be staying or his bags could already be packed while living arrangements are being made for his new job. Either way, I would expect a coach to deny all talks of leaving instead of distracting his team before big game.

It is possible that Rhule might want him but hasn't reached out to him yet. That'd be a respectful thing to do given that he has something to concentrate on right now.

It's also possible that the whole thing is a crock of BS.

Mind you, they do have the same agent, so communication between the two would be extremely easy.

If I’m Brady, I’m signing an NFL OC contract the minute that game is over. Doubt that Tepper would get outbid. I’ve been screaming for anyone from the Saints staff for years. And what he’s done at LSU is remarkable.

The concern with Brady of course is that he has an extremely short track record.

He's only been coaching since 2013, and only this past season was he doing anything close to being an offensive coordinator. Lots of one year wonders fail to show long term consistency.

And of course, there's the chicken and the egg question with Burrow.

So yeah, he could be the choice, but if Rhule goes in a different direction, there is some logic that could support it.

    • Nope Still missing it. Let's try this a different way... You have two quarterbacks from schools that ran the same kind of offense - maybe even two from the same school - on a given team (not necessarily the Panthers). One is designated the starter while the other is named the backup. Why?
    • yeah, pretty sure boss.....when things match and fit in the NFL.....the results then show it.  and when they don't, well, the results show that as well.  Bryce doesn't fit.   *but I get why late season and wants to argue with everyone Mr. Scot has also turned into a please don't talk to me about stats guy as well.  Given, the stats that reflect offensive productivity work against all your present arguments.
    • Yeeeah...stats and rankings have zero to do with a discussion of scheme and skill set match. Maybe look up definitions of style vs ability and see if that helps. At this point, you've basically had three different people explain to you where you're wrong, but rather than addressing any of those statements, you're just resorting to straight deflection.  You don't get it. Either that or you're acting like you don't get it so that you can avoid the discussion because it's not going well for you. (that wouldn't surprise me either) 😄 Sme result either way, I suppose.
