Browns Watch

I know some Browns fans are thinking about what happened with the Colts.

The city might just burn to the ground if that happened.

That would just be delightful.

Honestly, I think McD is crazy if he takes that job. EVERYONE fails in Cleveland, even Belichick. He can't afford to flop again. I doubt he'll get a third chance if he does.

I get the sense we're not very good people sometimes :)

Blaming Kraft and Belicheat because McDaniels noticed what was happening and wanted to move all his interviews to Monday and Patriots wouldn't let him. Honestly if he'd have interviewed Monday.

Rhule would be a giant

McDaniels a Panther

Browns would still be the browns.

Mentioned that elsewhere. About anything is possible with Belichick.

He could still escape to Cleveland, though.

Yeah... :poison:

I added to my post but I'm 100% confident that McDaniels would be the coach of the Panthers if he interviewed on Monday like he wanted to do.

I think I'd leave just to leave if I was McDaniels and destroy the staff and front office on my way out by taking anyone I wanted and could get.

There is some truth to him coveting the Browns job though. Home and all that but still...  it's the freaking Browns.

More details: per sources, Josh McDaniels was set to head to Carolina to interview with the Panthers while his agent, Trace Armstrong, who happens to be Matt Ruhle's agent, was in the midst of finalizing a deal to lock up Ruhle with Carolina. Said agent never informed Josh...

Hows that for one shitty agent, I'd be representing myself after that BS.

That's believable.

And yeah, it's not like he'd be the first guy the Patriots screwed out of getting a job elsewhere. Belichick runs that place like a mafia operation.

McDaniels is still available and on the market. I don't think we jump the gun and hire Rhule without even formally interviewing McD first unless we were very confident that we simply preferred Rhule no matter what.

Maybe McD isn't nearly as hot of a candidate as most fans and the media seems to think. That's how you end up in Cleveland.

Michael Lombardi had reported that McDaniels was moving his interviews to Monday. But then the Patriots held him up with some procedural stuff and by the time that was done, two of the jobs he wanted were already filled.

I get that you don't have a high opinion of McDaniels, but like I said elsewhere, Satan dresses as Belichick for Halloween.

The agent in no way, shape, or form had any responsibility to do so, for any number of reasons (not the least of which is client confidentiality).
