Pretty young staff so far, some signs just keep on pointing toward a full and total rebuild.

Strap it on gents.

Our offensive coordinator has less experience than his position coaches and is four months younger than our veteran quarterback.

It's gonna be interesting for sure.

Side Note: Lots of stories right now about Katie Sowers out iin San Francisco. Last year the Panthers had a female coaching intern named Jennifer King. She was actually put in charge of the runningbacks at last year's Fan Fest because Jake Peetz's wife went into labor.

King steps in to coach runningbacks at Fan Fest

Wonder if she's being kept aboard.

Personally I’m of the opinion that age and experience are potentially valuable, but in the realm of coaching, the value of those things has long been overestimated. When your age and experience causes you to be locked into certain mindsets and habits that stifle flexibility and innovation, then those things are working against you, not for you.

What will be interesting is whether this young staff leverages it’s lack of commitment to orthodoxy or just gets run over by coaching staffs that have seen it all before and are 2 moves ahead of them.

To a point.

Remember when everybody went nuts trying to find the next Sean McVay while the Colts instead smartly hired Frank Reich?

NFL front offices are often notoriously unimaginative, tending to run with the idea that whatever worked for the last team that had success is sure to work for them too, even if they don't see the bigger picture.

Like I said, hope like hell it works out, but I have concerns. And yeah, I'd feel a lot better with an experienced NFL head coach on staff.

One good thing, they're not entrenched in some archaic model or philosophy of football.

Another is that they won't be lacking NFL experience for very long.

The whole thing is looking fun to me. I'm excited about it all. Only 2 guys on the staff older than me and one of them just barely. I like it.

So would I, just to have that one voice of experience. Hoping it’s not Coughlin just cause I’ve always thought he was a tool. (Seriously who fines people for being EARLY to meetings? Coughlin actually did this.) But if he’s not running the show, i’ll take him over no voice of experience.

I hope I like it.

Bill Walsh once came along with a new way of doing things and it revolutionized the sport.

Chip Kelly was also hailed as an innovator who was gonna change the game, and well... :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

New and different is sometimes good, sometimes it's crap.

Whether Rhule is closer to Walsh or Kelly, I guess we'll find out.

I wish they weren’t all thinner than me except Rhule.

I remember that.

At this point though, I don't know who else is a realistic possibility.
