Person: Trading up for Burrow is an option for the Panthers

Thanks Browns GM.

Their dynasty started when they drafted Tim Couch. Guy was an absolute legend.

Then they followed it up with Hall of Famer Brady Quinn

And when Quinn couldn't go anymore they got Brandon Weeden to carry on his legacy.

But they knew they could do even better with everyone's favorite QB, Johnny Manziel

And they sky was the limit when they drafted Baker Mayfield #1.

All you need is a QB baby!

yeah man the browns are always a credible example

Also aren't you the guy who I asked to cite intances of top 10 OTs leading teams to super bowls and you came back with a list of late rounders who happened to be on the roster at the time a team won the super bowl

uh are you serious

really well, the panthers had four playoff appearances, three division titles and a suoer bowl appearance with a mediocre coaching staff and a cheap GM who refused to embrace free agency as the League worked on the current suoer bowl formula of

-draft franchise QB at any cost

- sign free agents elsewhere

Profit

Uh are YOU serious?

We had three winning seasons and trotted out WRs in the 2017 playoffs who can’t even land on XFL teams. Not to mention a QB who never had time to throw and Never once did we have a steady defensive back unit. 2015 was an awesome year but the worst thing that could’ve happened because Cam locked in Rivera for 4 more years with some of the best football of his career. Cam on any competent team that year would’ve easily won the SB.

what you're trying to argue doesn't make any sense

you're acknowledging the QB was the preeminent force behind our legitimate success but saying that we should... What? Ignore that? Because we didn't -draft more offensive guards or whatever?

Indeed, the panthers were a few free agents away from a Lombardi trophy.

Yea man what I’m saying is that a top tier QB isn’t going to make a difference unless you build around him. And we can’t do that cheaply if you trade away a bunch of picks. I’d rather draft a young guy than give a washed up DE a contract for 2 years

well it's fine for you to feel that way but hopefully the panthers don't because the reality is that that's exactly how you win super bowls in this NFL

"Cheap" doesn't win Championships.

Big time QBs with big time pass rushers in free agency does.

Id love to sit here and talk about the glories of having the League's best LB Corp and how were stacked with man mountains who can push the LOS but that isn't what the NFL is anymore

I am not wanting them to do that but if they did I’d have to get behind the guy.  He has a lot of tools and if he works really hard and wants to be good he will be.

We are not moving up for Herbert when he will be there at #7. Not sure what you see in him, he does nothing at a great level. He's the definition of a career backup.

I take the whole hand size thing only slightly more seriously than I do 40 times.

You take 40 times less serious? 40 times do show speed. It’s not like they lie and you get splits. Hand size tells you very little, even less for a QB, that isn’t already on tape.

Meaning I don't really take either one all that seriously when it comes to quarterbacks.
