Didn't Darryl Williams look good at RG when Turner went down? Maybe the plan is to bring him back and let him play on the right side - you know the side he's played his entire career with the Panthers. Not sure why anyone thought you could just move him to the other side of the oline just like that.

And I would be wary of moving guys like Little and Daley to the right side if they're not experienced playing on the right side.

I’m personally happy with the trade. I don’t know why people are losing it.

this time of year everyone goes scorched earth on every mock, every draft and the draft— often without any of their own answers.

i mean, for the folks that hate the trade, what would they do different?

I dont necessity hate the trade, I hate the circumstances that led to this point and what the trade represents. Hurney has made several glaring errors and the team and fans are going to pay the price.

1. He started transitioning to a 3-4 for a coach on the hot seat. If Rivera is fired, which obviously happened, you've started a transition and wasted a draft on players that your new coach may not want. It's very short sighted.

2. He put the two biggest places on the Oline in the hands of guys coming off leg injuries. We saw the results.

3. He drafted Little after trading up because he had a first round grade on him no one else had. We could have used those picks to shore up the interior line in an excellent draft for IOL. It was not a strong tackle class.

4. He took Grier because Norv was in love with him. Norv was on the ropes with Rivera. We had more needs than a day 2 QB project for an OC headed out the door with Rivera.

5. Out of our first 5 picks, we may not have any starters going into 2020. Burns is going to have to add weight to play in a 4-3 and who knows what that gets us. Question marks surrounding your first round draft pick from last year isnt good.

The reason people are losing it, and getting really pissed off, is by making this trade, Hurney is admitting he fugged up. Otah (lack of motivation), Jimmy Pickles(over graded), Edwards (WTF), Brown (over graded), Gaulden (cut after 1 year), Little (over graded), Grier (damn...)  Just add it to the list of oops that have continually kept this team mired in mediocrity.

This team can do so much better than Hurney at the helm.

Well let's not get greedy and keep this okung thing the 1 yr stop gap that it is...no Oher repeat please...

Okung is 31, not 41.

Just like Cam or Little or DJ or anyone else, it just depends on how he plays.

if he plays 16 games like a top 10 starting left tackle, then what will you say?

ill be ready for the boot if he’s out 4 games of 16– he would have to go.
