Yep. I've already called my former next door neighbor who is 82 and told him that if he needs anything to call me and I'll bring it to him. Keep yo ass at home! We only moved one ridge over and I can be there in five minutes.

You just said you probably had coronavirus previously! What are you, the Angel of Death???

Public health emergency aside, we might be looking at the start of the Great Depression v. 2.0.

If this massive slowdown lasts say two months, it'll be a huge punch in the gut but I think we could bounce back from that. If it lasts say six months or more... man, I just don't know. Practically every small business out there is going to go under. Tons of people are going to go bankrupt. You're looking at the Great Depression in that scenario IMO.

I’m not old and go to Bob Evans sometimes. They are a good place to go to before hitting the road for a long distance family trip

The longer they keep up quarantine measures, the further down this hole it will end up. An extended quarantine with no safety net measures will basically torpedo not only the economy but it will wreck the American public, who largely lives paycheck to paycheck. Quarantine is probably literally the last thing the American public needs and I know that sounds cold but it is also very true.

Right now the market plummeting has limited impacts on the general public(in the short term) because so few Americans actually have substantial funds in it and those that do are going to be working for companies that are much more likely to offer paid leave. But once you starting breaking the lower classes(who also don't have the ability to stock up on weeks worth of groceries at a time) that is when you are really going to see a quick acceleration of this whole thing.

Aside from the arguments I have made regarding the quarantine statistically, this one should seriously scare people. If you are going to close all the stores, all the restaurants, all the businesses make that next logical leap to what is going to happen when food is scarce and people are not getting paid.

Maybe but I would bet against it. Once there is any sign of recovery we will need a huge stimulus package. In many countries like in 2008 and later. We have to prop up airlines, create a small business packages an maybe send everybody $1,000.

The underlying economic data has been very strong. And we have fixed most of what caused the great recession in 2008. Many were predicting a natural correction in the market and we certainly got one.

This seems like it would be more of a V shaped recovery based on the economy overall. But I can't predict anything in the market. I'm buying equities all the way down and hopefully more equities when the recovery comes will pay off.

If we are under quarantine until November you might be right.

    • As the demand for apartments grows parking is becoming limited and it’s sad. I use to tailgate but I just park at uncc deck now and train in and head to rhino market. My tailgate grill hates me.
    • It simply depends on perspective. CMC, when healthy and on the field, has a higher YPC and YPR than LT. Yes, he's been injury prone, but this is simply a "all quarter-century team." There are certainly different stats and different lists. If this were a list or about a team simply based on longevity, then of course LT wins that every time, but some lists are more subjective and nuanced depending upon what they are, and it's not necessarily a reflection upon a person's ability to analyze sports.
    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
