You'll very rarely find me defending Trump, but even Trump has stated his disagreement with how fast and reckless Georgia has been with their reopening.

Govs from NY to GA will be held accountable by the people of their states for how the opening is handled and mishandled.  Same as how the virus was handled.

Yep, its a great day when the speaker of the House and the President are known and adored for their teenage insults.

Our country is so screwed

Not to derail this thread too much for the ‘Rona but check out what this POS Kemp just did. He deemed it necessary and safe to reopen the state of Georgia but then cancelled a state election For state Supreme Court which now allows Kemp to hand pick a republican for the position. Democracy my ass lol. People need to be very skeptical and suspicious of how any repub leader handles this pandemic. They are taking advantage of the situation.

Pelosi used the correct medical terminology to describe trumps health and the interaction dangers of the unproven medicine he is said to be taking. one of them being sudden death. I know it’s a foreign concept now for rival politicians to express concern for one another without using insults like “mooN face” or “dog” or “sleepy eyes” etc.

speaking of which, where has VP Pence been lately? One of his closest aids tests positive And now no one has seen or heard from him for a couple days?

president Pelosi has a fantastic ring to it.

I wonder if people realize we're still seeing roughly 1000 deaths per day due to COVID? We'll be over 100k early next week.

As for Trump and Pelosi... honestly, I wish both of them would just go away.

I don’t get the Pelosi hate. I asked my super conservative, trump voting racist in-laws why they or anyone else hated Pelosi and didn’t agree with her leadership abilities and they couldn’t give me a straight answer on what she has done or hasn’t done that is so awful. My MIL tried to piece together some story about something Pelosi said that she took offense to but still was stumbling to give me a firm answer. fox and conservative talking hairdos just use Pelosi as low hanging fruit with narratives and talking points and then old conservative white people just regurgitate it on Facebook lol

and I thought we had already passed the 1000k deaths a day weeks ago?

My point is that it's still happening. It seems as if a lot of the "open up now" crowd doesn't think that the death toll warrants our action and may not realize we're still seeing 1000 people die a day from this.

I’ve said this before but we are like 10 weeks into this mess and I don’t know how much better off we are than when it started. What’s scary is it could get worse. It certainly looks like Trump administration is surrendering to the circumstances now and it’s every state for themselves. History books are going to use trump as an example of what NOT to do when facing a crisis. So at least there will be a few positives to come out of this.

Just because someone dies with it, doesn't mean they died from it. It has already been reported that there's a financial benefit for hospitals to list the cause of death as covid.

They still had it. If you get in a car and die from injuries an hour later, you died from a car wreck.

    • https://x.com/4thand1show/status/1975274357174784272?s=46   saw this this morning and came to post something similar. I didn’t just love the team or the wins, I loved those dudes man. They put everything they had out there every Sunday. You didn’t see a rep where anybody on that field was low effort in that era, and if you did they were quickly sent packing.
    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
