Jaguars looking to trade Fournette

What sort of results would you need to see in a 2yr to 5yr timeframe to admit you were wrong about Tepper, Rhule and Hurndog?

@Mr Mojo Risin, ditto.

Hurndog needs to get a min of 4 starters in this 2020 draft and another 4 starters in 2021. I’m talking about actual starters. #1 picks better be future pro bowlers, potential future HOF, face of the franchise kind of players. Then future pro bowlers and key contributors. Don’t try and tell me that it’s difficult to do. I’ve seen the Saints and Falcons hit the jackpot before with an entire draft class. But, that’ll never happen for Hurney. He’s still trading up for a Greg Little and drafting a Will Grier in the 3rd. Rhule and Tepper better be right about Teddy Bridgewater. I don’t see that happening. If Kyle Allen wasn’t traded, I bet that we would be talking about Kyle Allen at QB at about week 5-7. That’s why Allen was traded away, so there would be no qb controversy. Ron took a 2-14 team to the Playoff (NFCS Champs) in his 3rd season as HC. And to the Super Bowl in his 5th season. Ron was making a lot less money than Rhule. I’ll give Rhule all 7 years to get us to the SB. That’s a lot of time for Tepper and Rhule to prove me wrong. I have the advantage. They don’t.

OK, 7 years it is.

As for Hurndog, your goals for him are not realistic because he doesn't have the control that you think he does.

Football is a team game, and Tepper/Rhule/Hurndog are a team...

...they will succeed (or fail) together as a team.

If 7-years is the over/under for them to take us to a Super Bowl...

...put me down for the under.

PS...7-years is a very fair and realistic (if not generous) time-frame for them to deliver a Super Bowl game, good for you.

If Hurney doesn’t really have full control then that will make his job easier. Whether it’s Rhule or Hurney drafting Thursday, I’ll still give him credit if they can both bank on four starters.

Wonder what they are asking for in return?  And how much of a raise is he going to want.  If I was GM of a team and I felt that a physical rb like Fournette would make us a Superbowl contender in 2020, I might offer a second or third round pick.  But that is about it.

Fournette might be a really good fit in Seattle.

It's possible, but same as it was with us, if teams think they're just going to let him go at some point they might not offer anything.

Different deal because he is healthy and ain't making ridiculous money...yet.  My point is I would keep him till I received something for him.

There's a new climate in the NFL --- teams moving away from taking on players who are distractions.
