The worst part about all of this is I REALLY like Simmons. But we have to sit here and explain to people why Brown was a better choice, like they don't understand why you didn't take the Mustang to pull the truck out of the mud and took the tractor instead.

I would be inclined to agree with you if Luke could operate effectively in our defense last year, but he couldn't He couldn't stay clean because our defensive line was so bad.

Dont Get me wrong.  The kid is going to be a Stud.  But he cant go to a team with out DL situations.

I'm not really sure why people are down on this kid. It was a position of need ever since Star screwed us. He's also a high motor guy who will make an immediate impact.

Comeon man, did you even watch our games last year.

I dont think a single DL commanded a double team last year and our 3-4 DE sometimes didnt even command a OL (see GB blocking Butler with Jimmy Graham while the OL went untouched to Luke)

Not much and it's why drafting Burns was even more of a head scracher. I really blame Tepper for that. He was full bore 3-4 for a season and a half then decided it was a horrible idea. Maybe Burns can play 4-3 but he's in a Everett Brown situation.
