Panthers sign XFL lineman

Recommended Posts

The Panthers have added depth to their offensive line by signing Juwann Bushell-Beatty.

After going undrafted out of Michigan last year, Bushell-Beatty signed with Washington but was waived shortly after signing with the club. He signed with the Cowboys in early August during training camp, but did not make Dallas' 53-man roster at the start of the regular season.

I wonder if Cam Phillips murdered someone we don’t know about? He was one of the best WR’s in the XFL and no NFL team has picked him up. Hum.....

Saw someone suggest that that the deep receiver draft might have hurt his prospects. That makes some sense.

Maybe now that the draft is over, he'll have a better chance.

Welp, does anyone know if an XFL team can beat an NFL team? I  guess we are going to find out this season huh?

The answer is no.

AAF had a few players making a NFL roster. Dont expect the XFL players to perform much better. They have already been rejected atleast once because that's how they ended up in the XFL.

I believe this fat bastard is the 4th XFL guy we've signed (DaVonte Lambert, PJ Walker, Colin Thompson) not counting Kenny Robinson.

Rhule is going to be the reason that XFL will stay alive and eventually replace the NFL.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
