If we would have played a good team today we would have lost by a couple touchdowns. I can not believe that they are comfortable with this defense. Somebody needs to talk to Luke ASAP.

I wish we could have seen Luke with a dynamic safety/LB like Chinn

Let’s be real. The Raiders are a very bad team. It’s not like the Panthers hung tough and almost beat a playoff team from last year. Or even a division opponent. They hung tough and almost beat a trash franchise with a has-been head coach at home. They honestly should have won this game. I can’t stress it enough, the Raiders are not a good team.

We might not see much optimism next week. The Panthers defense is going to look much worse against better teams. The Bucs have more talent on offense than the Raiders. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are going to have big numbers against that secondary. Ronald Jones ran hard against the Saints. I didn’t see a single player on that defense that is capable of improving the run defense.

Its going to be a very very long season. The Panthers just blew the chance to win one of the most winnable games on the schedule. This team will probably win 1-2 games.

The reality is the Panthers only forced the Raiders to punt twice and gave up 35 points, they can't look much worse than that against anyone. The question is when the Panthers offense faces better defenses can they keep up. If the Panther defense doesn't improve we're looking at an 2011 type season, Cam's rookie year.
