They don't have a defense and they don't have the pass rush of the Chargers who even gave Mahomes fits last week. Each game is unique in itself an of course the Panthers will have to be better in the red zone.

We got short Fields all day and came up with 5 fgs and one TD.

We will see I don't see us matching up with Jones/Ridley well at all.

Well, Herbert had some good moments but his turnovers were the difference and those were some bad plays you'd expect from a rookie. If he can eliminate some of those mistakes I could see them sneaking into a wildcard in the AFC.

Problem is that that was one of his knocks. Oregon looked like they reigned him last year.

Also, to the topic, the Chargers team I just watch is the same 4-12 or 5-11 Chargers team that supposedly has talent and could surprise. They sucked and looked poorly coached. I means just some awful decisions and mistakes.

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.

So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
