It depends on the base defense the next coach wants to run. If it's a cover-2, I think Meeks works well with our current personnel. If it's another defensive set, may as well show him the door.

Meeks has actually started to look good, eh? But is that because of the talent on the team? Beason, Davis, Harris, Gamble and a couple of a D-linemen come to mind (for the D-line it's less individual, more of the collective).

Breese only had two big plays and that was because Marshall was out of position. Like it or not Cover 2 works when coached right. I say we give him two more years.

Why not? Just want to know if there's a good reason for your statement. He's been considered for HC jobs in the past.

If Meeks was promoted to HC, our defensive staff would remain intact, and we could focus on the problem areas - our offense and special teams. Meeks would probably prefer more aggressive playcalling on offense after spending years in Indy and St. Louis (during the Warner years) and I don't think he'll dictate the offensive philosophy as much as Fox has since he's been here. I'm sure he'd also want things tightened up on ST as well. JMO
