So that Panthers are currently sitting with the 11th overall draft pick, but I feel they will likely have the 15th overall pick. With us being over halfway into the season, what do you all think we should target positionally? Defensive line, O-line, CB, Safety? Maybe QB??

I know this doesn't help our team any but I would like us to take Kyle Pitts (TE) out of Florida, seems like he could fall to us and he is a STUD. Trey Lance might be there as well as a few decent Edge Rushers and Joe Horns son, Jaycee Horn who plays CB....

What is your thoughts??

I'm a bit wary of Kyle Pitts. He's a dynamic receiver built like a TE. Draft dudes have him as a guy who can't/doesn't block. You're drafting much more of a receiver than a guy who can play both roles. Now if that's what you want that's fine, but I think I prefer a guy like Friermuth who can block. Put another way, I wouldn't want to pass on Kittle to get Engram. The Panthers have enough receiving threats.

He’s a better blocker than given credit for. This was blown out of proportion last season when we kept lining him up out wide instead at the TE spot. He’s such a good receiver he abused other teams number one corners and it opened up more things for us offensively with our other guys to line him up out wide. This year he has been lining up where the TE does and guess what. The run stuffs against us haven’t come from guys beating him off of blocks. Trask is also one of the least sacked QBs in college for a kid who has “no mobility”, even when Pitts is kept as a blocker.

Pitts would also make it a whole lot less of an issue if Curtis left to go somewhere else for big money. Pitts would be our only big bodied guy in the red zone because Robbie plays like a 5’11 guy.

With Marty Hurney, Trade up to 3 and and draft Charlie Brewer.

Without Marty Hurney; Micah Parsons or the best OL at the spot.

We do need a top end catching TE though but I don't know about that this draft.

I would add Surtain to this list if Parsons is not available. As someone said, corners from AL don’t typically pan out but Surtain has good size, speed and NFL bloodlines which is a plus. There’s still a huge need for talent in our secondary.
