We resigned Williams coming off a big injury. Did it with Short and Paradis too. Basically throw away $28M for more missed games and terrible play the first year back. Paradis has played better year 2 and so has Williams. Short is shot but still that’s a dumb GM paying too dollar for the first year off major injury. Same with Okung who’s missed half the season as well.

I think the ball was out when he ran over Roethlisberher but they scored anyway.

That said he had our best sack to snap ratio of all our DTs. He was pretty solid last year but we’d rather keep paying way more for an injured older Short.

That is true, but at the same time, scheme and coaching make you better.  And  Football is a team game, which means good players playing beside you make you better.  That is especially true I think on the offensive line.
