this was originally mentioned in the story not about the Panthers, but about the Houston Texans.

One of the reasons Nick Caserio got the job so quickly in Houston was because agent Bob LaMonte told Texans owner Cal McNair that the Panthers were set to hire him for a boatload of cash and if McNair didn't move quickly he'd lose any chance to get him.

A lot of people think LaMonte's story was bullsh-t.

I think he's in over his head.  He continues to make bad decision after bad decision.

So far I like the Rhule hire, but if Rhule's insistence to be "the man" with Tepper's full backing keeps us from having a legit GM in place....man....I just don't know.  This team needs real guidance, and I don't trust anyone at the top.

Sorry. I got you and @Carl Spackler mixed up. Carl is the true hater, sad part is Im starting to see why. Rhule has done a great great great job, Im just beyond sick of his constant lying. Just dont answer the question or give them the old " weather is looking good" comment. Its not to anyones benefit to constantly lie, unless youre in congress...
