Would love for this draft to happen but of course it  isn’t realistic. IOL is on lock for next few years. Get a TE and DE to develop. Secondary depth. And an immediate contributor on offense to replace Samuel as well as CMC’s back up to replace Mike Davis

Draftek(fav one) just updated over at fanspeak.

My haul-

8: R1 P8 QB Trey Lance - North Dakota State
39: R2 P7 OT Jalen Mayfield - Michigan
73: R3 P9 CB Ifeatu Melifonwu - Syracuse
113: R4 P8 WR Sage Surratt - Wake Forest
151: R5 P7 OT James Hudson - Cincinnati
192: R6 P9 LB Jamin Davis - Kentucky
220: R6 P37 TE Tre' McKitty - Georgia
224: R6 P41 C Drew Dalman - Stanford

My fav draft far as filling needs/wants. 4th was the hardest round and Sage was just the best overall pick. Got Ifeatu in the 3rd, CB has been my weak point, he makes this a strength as his profile is great given the class.  TE Tre was a nice get late, same for LB Jamin, they could get week 1 snaps and grow. C Drew was an look to future, main reason he was Stanfords iron man award winner.

I call this one "me hate me"..... Its a strange...STRANGE MIX.

8: R1 P8 OT Penei Sewell - Oregon
39: R2 P7 QB Mac Jones - Alabama
73: R3 P9 G Trey Smith - Tennessee
113: R4 P8 CB Eric Stokes - Georgia
151: R5 P7 TE Kenny Yeboah - Mississippi
192: R6 P9 LB K.J. Britt - Auburn
220: R6 P37 C Quinn Meinerz - Wisconsin-Whitewater
224: R6 P41 DL Lorenzo Neal Jr. - Purdue

Filled about every need somehow. If Id known Meinerz was still on the board, I would have picked him in the 5th.(he should go 3-4). Drafted Neal on name alone, his dad was a beast. I hate Jones.....but after Sewell dont care and many have him as a 1st lock, I guess early 2nd is fine. Stokes was the steal here, I doubt hes there after his pro-day.

A little different one since we have added players in FA.  No longer do I feel the need to draft a TE or 3 O-linemen.  Seems odd, but it's still defense heavy even after last year's draft.

In addition the the obvious QB and LT, I drafted:  CB (outside), nickel CB, FS, 3-tech DT, NT, LB/S hybrid with Stevens and C/G with Meinerz.   Solid overall!

    • You should because before the preseason fiasco and the start of the season fiasco, all the reports, including Frank’s responses, were that Fitterer and Reich were in lock step. Remember the press conference where Fitterer talked about both he and Frank saying who they wanted before and after the draft process and that they both picked Young and it was glorious? People got hung up on Tepper saying the point guard analogy in April when Brown was interviewed by a Panthers reporter describing how a QB needs to be a point guard in huge detail. That was in February. I think Tepper was just parroting Brown to make himself look like he knew what he was doing. Mrs. Tepper hugging Bryce always overshadowed CJ saying how he called her Mama Tepp. We fuged up as a team, probably more so because Fitterer always said he had Young as his #1 the year before, probably because we looked at all the QBs that year as well. Reich’s love for CJ started when he got on the hot seats for frankly doing a horrific job. He's been in the league a long time and has a lot of media friends and that was a face saving CYA which we know well with many years of Hurney. Still amazing to think how much better the team was under Rhule/Hurney before Fitterer got any control when Rhule was on the hot seat.
    • I loved jStew but let’s not forget he was almost always held out from practice  due to some nagging injuries
