"Multiple Teams have reached out to the Jets about Darnold"

Ron was able to take whomever he wanted with him to Washington, folks were let go or contracts not renewed; very little holdover to the Rhule era.  Not much difference between the two scenarios.  Peetz saw the writing on the wall and took another job this year (smart man).  Chase Blackburn should already have his resume' updated...just say'n.

At what cost and how many years are we getting from him?  Trading for MS is a win now move and this franchise, no matter what Rhule or whoever say, is not that close

Apparently it was 8th, our 5th and Teddy.

I gotta be honest, that would have been a fuging grand slam of a HR for the trade.

fug LA for scooping us.

Why does it feel like us going after every trade is just them throwing poo at the wall until somthing sticks and not any calculated plan at all?

I see it just the opposite

First...I believe the only confirmed action by the Panthers was for Stafford.  All others are just speculation.

Even so, it is evident that this staff knows we need an upgrade at QB and are looking at all opportunities.  That is actually smart.  Otherwise, we would go after one scenario...and if that didn’t materialize, we would be sitting with TB still as our QB.

they are doing the right due diligence.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
