Mostly just rides on the QB. That one “if” works out, we’re in the hunt.

I'm not sure we are unless we luck out and get a CB as well. We are missing QB, CB, and OLD as of right now. It will be interesting to see how they approach that in FA and the draft.

"In the hunt" isn't enough anymore.

The few good seasons we've had have been "in the hunt" or at best "almost".

If we're still willing to settle for that, why bother getting rid of Rivera and Hurney?

In this rebuild, “in the hunt” in year two, year one of the new QB will be good enough. Different from the RivEra because we’ll still be trending up. Rivera never grew or got any better.

according to easterby’s wikipedia page it says that the panthers put in a bid for him to join the organization in 2019?

I can see that. He was just a character dev guy back then.

No way he rises to VP of football ops here though.

I actually think it's possible we'll be worse this year than last year.

I'm okay with that as long as we see progress in year three.

I've got a feeling that story's bullsh-t but I suppose it's possible.

Pretty sure Easterby and Caserio share an agent, i.e. the guy who convinced McNair that we were ready to throw crazy money at Caserio if he didn't hire him immediately. That story was absolute bullsh-t.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
