Meaning they don't like we have their own sources, so they'd have to get it from somewhere.

For what it's worth, Aaron Wilson did say a short time ago that Watson liked the Dolphins a lot as an option.

He mentioned the Panthers as interested but said nothing about Watson's feelings toward us.

Forgive me, I’m not quite understanding what you are saying with your first sentence.

The radio station doesn't likely have their own sources. That's why I'd wonder who the sources they're referring to would be.

Typically I'd expect it to be somebody like Rapoport, Schefter or Breer.

Understood thank you. I just don’t think Houston trades him, I wish it would happen and il stay optimistic but their new GM probably isn’t messing around.

It’s going to happen not saying we get him but we have a great chance. But if they are dumb enough to not trade him and take all the picks and players they could get then they probably are the dumbest franchise ever. I mean if he isn’t going to play for you makes no sense to not take the compensation you could get for him. I think he will be traded before draft though

Completely agree, but I just think this Caserio isnt messing around. If Watson sits out and gets fined, Texans don’t have to pay his salary and their cap doesn’t get hit, they will make a poo ton of money from his fines and can stand by and fine him more and more. I’m with you, if he is not going to play for you, why not get something out of him? Why not get high picks and draft his replacement? If they go into next year with him sitting out, who’s going to be their qb?

    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
    • 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
    • Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
