Josh Allen was a career 56.2% passer. Trey Lance is a 67.0% career passer.

I am not saying that he doesn't have some things to work on but the accuracy issues seem to be extremely overblown. For reference, Carson Wentz was a 64.2% career passer at NDSU.

The analysts who mention his accuracy aren't necessarily talking about his completion percentage. They are referring to ball placement. His receivers are very commonly wide open. When they aren't placement matters a lot more.

I see many analysts list accuracy as a strength for Lance.

just to show a few.  Looks like his footwork does need some work, which could make the ball sail on some throws, but that happens to most QBs as long as it’s not a regular thing.

I see them saying both. My point wasn't to judge his accuracy. It was to point out what the actual discussion of his accuracy is.

Yeah and he is a really tough prospect to analyze. It would be nice to see if his footwork/accuracy looked better or worse in his second year as a starter....

Heard another reference to him expected to go 15-32. If we could trade back and get him I'm happy.

L-O-L!!!!!!!! If you honestly believe that, then you need to dig into the draft a little deeper than just talking about it.  I will quit this MB for good if this happens.  Please tag it, screen shot it or do whatever you need to do to mark it down.  Question is, would you do the same?  That's how confident I am that is 100% bulls!t.

So my question: Are you endorsing Trey Lance?

This is the same shade tbrown at Mac Jones, although his(Jones) placement is more consistent even with both throwing to a lot of wide open guys.

My point being that the narrative of him being an inaccurate passer is simply not true. He definitely has some mechanical issues to work on but those are fixable.

I have heard multiple people say he has a second round grade(The Draft Network analysts being one source).

But I would be surprised if he doesn't get taken in the top 10. The QB desperation is so great he will get drafted ahead of his grade.

Where there's smoke there might be fire. There's just too much info like this to blow it off.

    • Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .
    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
