Texans remain slight betting favorites for Watson

Before we hired Matt Rhule last year, betting odds on the next Panthers head coach had Greg Roman as the favorite, followed by Jason Garrett, Dan Quinn, Jim Harbaugh, Marvin Lewis and even Bill Cowher among many others, none of whom even got an interview. Josh McDaniels was scheduled for one at least, but it didn't happen.

Might as well have just picked names out of hat.

(heck, for all I know, they did).

Oddsmakers are pretty good at point spreads and such but generally don't know sh-t about stuff like this.

Nah it was more like this at the end of December.

Mike McCarthy +250
Greg Roman +400
Josh McDaniels +600
Matt Rhule +600
Perry Fewell +700

Once we had a candidate list, and they still got it wrong.

Think I saw a list for GM candidates too. It was just as bad.

Can't look into Vegas odds, point spreads etc.

It all fluctuates on the money, encouraging other people to bet on other options.

Someone comes in and makes a sizeable bet on the Panthers, we become the betting favorites in an attempt to encourage other betters to put money on other teams.

Theres no inside information or substantial know how involved.

House always wins.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
