Who had a better rookie season - Cam in 2011 or LaMelo this year?

Basketball was glorious in the 80's and 90's. This era feels like the WWE..

Really so you liked no offense basketball in the 90's with hand checking and teams able to stop the flow of the game by clogging up the middle of the paint??

Miami and New York having literally slug fest and barley getting 80+ points??

Yeah that was the golden age of basketball..lol

srsly tho flopping has always been a thing in the NBA, Frank Ramsey wrote about his flopping techniques in sports illustrated in the 1950s ffs. saying its a 21st century thing is just lol

the league has been cutting down on it for years now. nba is in a pretty good state right now.

You won't see me argue agaist that, although its not because of the player safety rules its due to the constant hampering of defense. Flopping still isn't as prevalent in the NFL.

Yes it is...

Yes. The game was much better then. Most tend to agree and it's getting some traction recently. The NBA has a problem and it seems that they are finally considering that something needs to be done. Hand checking seems to be one of the things being considered to stop the nothing but 3s and no defense trend

    • CSW is awful. Sanders adds no value.    Wallace at least started to show some signs of progress.    Losing Thornton hurt this defense big time. Thornton and Coker both UDFA’s are the only two worth a damn. And this damn team cut Coker. They got real lucky
    • Coker is the man. We need a dependable speed WR that will blow the top off of a defense, and a pass catching TE to add to the mix and we will be good. Our TE room is solid but we need someone who will stand out in the pass catching game, we cannot depend on Sanders (my hope is an underrated signing such as Likely from the Ravens)
    • Personally like the mid round pick not because it’s Carson Beck but because I think two rookie QBs might be overkill and team resources needed to bring them along and evaluate may be constrained. Just an opinion.   Overall I like the mindset of both drafts and the approach of getting talent for the defense. Ideally (not a criticism just my opinion) I would rather have an OT at 88 but you have to pick based on how the board falls and don’t want to reach.
