I've seen folks put a small camper on pontoons. I'd like to design a pontoon with rails and channels that you could actually winch a small camper onto the rails and have a camper that turns into a boat.

The first video is a girl that lives on a tiny houseboat tat was built in NC. She's clueless, but her videos give you an idea of problems and costs. The second is a little higher end homemade houseboat.

This is how stupid the market is right now for things like boats. Some redneck is just trying to use the ludicrous market to unload his binge drinking inspired backyard project because A) he's realized he'll never finish it and B) he figures some idiot will actually pay him real money for it. Sadly, if I had to bet on it, he's probably right. Maybe not to the tune of $6500 but someone will offer him way more than you'd think.
